Title : J’habite à la frontière du rêve Johann Fournier

Born in 1982, he lives and works between Avignon and Paris (France). Photographer, scenographer, video maker, Johann Fournier is a multi-talented artist.

His works are the result of a singular creative process. The poetic approach takes its source in the landscapes that the photographer explores. He expresses this vision in images by mixing techniques that he constantly combines and reinvents. Similarly the Artist add classical technics to its pictures and digital techniques digital techniques (digitised textures of paintings, fabrics, drawings, etc…).

The colour treatment is the object of a particular attention. In other words, it is the emotional skins of the image. “I take photographs of each fragment of an image. Therefore, I put in scene all the fragments photographed and sampled. Johann Fournier treats the fragments as a motif, as material. In addition, this process is a deconstruction of the visible world, to reveal its archaic functioning, explains Johann Fournier.

This poetry echoes in the titles of the works, it contributes to their meaning. Also the scenes are influenced by surrealism, they born in the artist’s imagination. These visions are intended to leave an aesthetic and intellectual mark, to leave an emotional trace
